A separate jurisdiction, not an Ottawa add-on
Gatineau has its own rules for tree removal and pruning, its own utility and excavation-information systems and Quebec workplace requirements. A business should not advertise Gatineau service merely because the drive is short.
For covered arboriculture work, verify the qualification status of the actual Quebec crew. Also confirm current insurance and CNESST requirements, language support and whether any subcontractor meets the same conditions.
Municipal certificates and pruning rules
Tree removal may require a City certificate based on the tree and reason for work. The owner should check the current City information, prepare the requested documents and understand that the City decides whether authorization is issued.
Pruning should follow the City's current rules and preserve natural form. A stated regulatory maximum is not a recommended cutting target; the objective and tree response still matter.
Utilities, excavation and material handling
Hydro-Quebec is the route for electrical-line concerns. Info-Excavation and private-service information matter before stump work or digging. Wood, chips and other material should be handled under current local and plant-health rules.
The quote should state currency, taxes, travel, permit responsibility, material handling and language of service so there are no cross-border assumptions.
